Our Missions

“The fear of losing our lives is smaller than the fear of living the rest of them without compassion.”

What we do

Delivering life-saving aid to communities affected by natural disasters and human conflict

Operating in places where local regimes prevent entry from international humanitarian organizations

Focusing on countries that lack diplomatic relations with Israel

Our missions through the years

2010

A catastrophic earthquake struck Haiti in 2010, leveling the capital city of Port-au-Prince and affecting millions. The devastation left over 200,000 dead, 300,000 injured, and 1.5 million people displaced.

2008

A catastrophic cyclone struck the Irrawaddy Delta, destroying millions of homes. With the country under military junta rule, foreign aid organizations were barred from entering, leading to a dramatic rise in the death toll.

2005

In war-torn Kashmir, a devastating winter earthquake killed tens of thousands and displaced millions. IFA carried out a covert cross-border mission to deliver life-saving aid to civilians on both sides, despite political barriers.

2005

The hurricane, which devastated New Orleans, remains the costliest natural disaster in recorded history, leaving entire communities uninhabitable. As Israeli citizens, we felt compelled to stand in solidarity with our closest ally, the United States.

2005

Tens of thousands of homes were destroyed, leaving families without shelter or food. During a harsh winter, communities in Georgia lost electricity and heat.

2004

A devastating 9.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Indian Ocean, triggering a massive tsunami that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands across Southeast Asia and left millions homeless.

2022-2023

When war erupted in Ukraine, Israeli Flying Aid swiftly mobilized to deliver critical humanitarian assistance to those caught in the conflict zones.

2020-Present

A severe humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Khartoum, Sudan, with widespread violence, displacement, and shortages of food, water, and medical care, leaving millions in urgent need of aid and protection.

2006

A powerful earthquake struck Java, Indonesia, causing nearly $3 billion in damage. The disaster resulted in 5,770 deaths, over 38,000 injuries, and left 700,000 people displaced.

2015

In 2015, after a devastating earthquake in Nepal that killed over 9,000 people, IFA, in coordination with the IDF, delivered aid to marginalized communities others couldn’t reach, ensuring life-saving support reached all.

2011-2018

Since 2011, Israeli Flying Aid was one of the first NGOs to deliver life-saving aid to women and children in Syria through three borders, driven by a moral duty to protect the innocent and act where others cannot.

2019-present

Famine, disease, including HIV/AIDS, and many years of civil unrest and war, has taken its toll on the already poverty stricken north central African landlocked nation of Chad. There are an estimated 500,000 orphaned children.

Case studies

Chad

Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, far from the public eye, Israeli Flying Aid (IFA) has provided life-saving humanitarian aid via three different borders to the victims of Assad regime’s atrocities.

Sri Lanka

Chad, a landlocked country in Central Africa, faces overlapping humanitarian crises driven by decades of conflict, extreme poverty, mass displacement, and one of the weakest healthcare systems in the world.
