With the country under military junta rule, foreign aid organizations were barred from entering, leading to a dramatic rise in the death toll as assistance was blocked at the border. In response, IFA launched a covert humanitarian mission to reach the Burmese people with life-saving aid. We were the first NGO to penetrate the delta and deliver critical support—offering hope and relief where none was allowed.
